THE UNIVERSITY of the Philippines Visayas School of Technology has a new leader at the helm.

Dr. Johannes Magpusao was appointed as SoTech Dean by the UP Board of Regents during its 1395th meeting. Her term officially runs from November 28, 2024 to November 27, 2027, according to UPV.

Prior to her appointment, Magpusao served as Acting Dean of SoTech starting August 2024. She also held the role of Program Coordinator for the Bachelor of Science in Food Technology and Master of Science in Food Science programs from 2022 to 2024.

“Her vision is for SoTech to be the region’s leading institution in the fields of food, engineering, and environment through academic excellence, collaborative research, and relevant extension work for nation-building,” UPV shared.
