THE UNIVERSITY of Antique is geared for expansion this year with several multi-million projects in the pipeline.

The school will start construction of a sports facility in 2023, which will feature an olympic-sized pool.

Antique Representative Antonio Legarda said that P25 million was allocated for the project.

The facility will be located at the university’s Main Campus in Sibalom.

Meanwhile, Senator Loren Legarda introduced a bill that will create regular campuses by turning extension campuses into external campuses, UA President Dr. Pablo Crespo said.

Under Senate Bill 899, two more campuses will rise at the municipalities of Tobias Fornier and San Remigio, Antique.
