UNIVERSITY OF ANTIQUE CLAIMS TO HAVE NO SUBVERSIVE BOOKS IN ITS LIBRARY
THE UNIVERSITY of Antique gave assurances that there are no subversive books in its library, the military said.
“We are glad that UA has assured us that there are no subversive books displayed in their library and so we hope that other universities in the region will also do the same,” Capt. Kim Apitong, spokesperson of the Philippine Army 3rd Infantry Division, said.
UA President Dr. Pablo Crespo Jr. said that the university supports the campaign to end insurgency.
Apitong said that the academe should protect students by removing books that may encourage students to revolt against the government.
“We hope that other universities would also open their minds and volunteer to surrender their books that sow misinformation,” he added.
