UE STUDENTS SEEK SUSPENSION OF F2F CLASSES AMID COVID SPIKE

/ 11 May 2023

A STUDENTS’ GROUP at the University of the East Manila sought the suspension of face-to-face classes following the spike of Covid19 cases in the country.

In a statement, Ang Sandigan ng Silangan said that shifting to online classes will help prevent Covid19 infection among students.

Last week, UE President Zosimo Battad said that classes in all levels in its Manila and Caloocan campuses, including the Graduate School and the College of Law, will be held online from May 8 to 13.

Battad said that the deans, principals and PE and NSTP directors have the option to conduct final exams either in-person or online via Canvas platform.

The UE official said that health and safety protocols will be strictly implemented.
