SILLIMAN U HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI LAUNCH SCHOLARSHIP INITIATIVE

A GROUP of alumni from Silliman University High School has launched a scholarship initiative to support deserving students in their education.

 

The Class of 1975 Tuition Assistance Project was formalized through a memorandum of agreement signing last week.

 

Leading the initiative were Outstanding Sillimanian Awardee Moses Alcala, Dr. Ophelia Dimaculangan-Saad, and Dr. Erwina Frances Bokingo-Jalandoni.

 

The project aims to provide tuition assistance to incoming Grade 7 students enrolling at Silliman University Junior High School, covering their tuition costs for four years.

 

Representing SU at the signing was University President Dr. Betty Cernol-McCann, along with Alumni and External Affairs Director Ruben Bokingo and OIC for Strategic Partnership and Enterprise Development, Ms. Glynnis Jean Casiño.

 

The scholarship is financially supported by Christina H. Chua, Dr. Laurie H. Raymundo, Ricardo M. Sandalo, Aleta English, Dr. Ophelia Saad, Lyna Labata-Mendoza, Erma Ansaldo, Dr. Erwina Frances Jalandoni, Dr. Sharon Arevalo-Capule, Janith Chan-Acosta, and Moses Alcala.

 

“Through this initiative, the Class of 1975 hopes to provide financial aid to deserving students, continuing the legacy of academic excellence and service that Silliman University stands for,” said the university.
