SELECT ATENEO DE NAGA SCHOLARS RECEIVE COMPLETE SET OF DESKTOP COMPUTER
ATENEO de Naga University High School Batch 90 came up with a sensible program for scholar students following the shift from classroom to online learning amid the Covid19 pandemic.
Ten deserving Grade 9 and 10 students of the school were the recipients of a complete set of desktop computer, webcam, pocket wifi, and computer table and chair.
The computer desktops were already turned over to the junior high school students last August 11.
The project was through the initiative of Marvin Gimeno, Ruel Reyes, and Boks Abonal, along with other donors from Batch 90.
In a recent data released, the Department of Education only has 532,637 Information Technology devices distributed across 44,155 public schools nationwide which could be lent to some 822,002 teachers and some of the 19.28 million public elementary and high school students.
DepEd Undersecretary Alain Pascua said teachers from public schools might borrow laptops, tablets, and computers from the schools under department memo No. 0420-0029 released last April.
Select learners meanwhile, may be lent gadgets subject to the permission of the school principal under DepEd memo No. 00720-0063.
