PUP STUDENT WINS IN STENOGRAPHY CONTEST
AN undergraduate student from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines won third place in the Machine Shorthand Contest held during the 9th National Convention of the Court Stenographers Association of the Philippines.
Jober Boniel, a fourth year BS in Office Administration major, was the youngest and the only student in the competition working as a part-time court stenographer.
PUP President Dr. Manuel Muhi commended Boniel, his teachers and coach for bringing home this prestigious achievement.
The PUP Junior Philippine Association of Secretaries and Administrative Professionals also congratulated Boniel.
“Congratulations to our very own, Mr. Jobert Boniel. He raised our flag! It is indeed a majestic moment for all of us. The whole OFAD community is proud of you, Jobert! You are truly an inspiration!” it said on Facebook.
Since its establishment as a business school in 1904, PUP has been the premier training ground for office administration professionals, an important skill in the country’s competitive job market.
