MMSU SIGNS PARTNERSHIP WITH THAI UNIVERSITY TO ENHANCE TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY EDUCATION

MARIANO Marcos State University has entered into a partnership with Maejo University in Thailand to foster academic excellence, research innovation, and community development in the fields of tourism and hospitality management.

A memorandum of understanding was signed by MMSU OIC-President Prima Fe R. Franco and MJU President Dr. Weerapon Thongma, formalizing a five-year collaboration between the two institutions.

“At MMSU, we strongly believe in the transformative power of our Tourism and Hospitality Management Department to connect people, foster cultural appreciation, and drive sustainable development,” Franco stated.

Dr. Thongma, in turn, emphasized the shared values of wisdom, innovation, and networking, highlighting both institutions’ commitment to excellence in academics and research.

The partnership will involve organizing joint conferences, research projects, capacity-building activities, and the exchange of academic materials for faculty, staff, and students. The collaboration also aims to promote transnational education and short-term courses while furthering the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
