MINDANAO STATE U-GENERAL SANTOS MOURNS PASSING OF CHANCELLOR
MINDANAO State University-General Santos’ 6th Chancellor, Dr. Anshari Ali, passed away on Saturday, January 6.
Ali died of cardiac arrest, the university said in a Facebook post.
He will be buried in his hometown in Bacolod Grande, Lanao Del Sur.
Ali aimed to transform MSU-GSC into a SMART University and generated the Office of Information and Communications Technology Office to adapt to modernization.
Also, under his administration, MSU-Gensan was declared a “true entrepreneurial hero” by the Local Government Unit of Gensan for its contributions to the fight against the pandemic.
“The whole MSU-Gensan community is grateful for his leadership and vision about a better society where the institution would be a strong partner in improving the living conditions of Moro and Indigenous Peoples in Mindanao,” the university said.
“To the father of Mindanao State University – General Santos, the wisdom you have imparted to us will leave a lasting impression. Know that your legacy would forever remain deep in our hearts,” it added.
