LETRAN AND PNU REMIND STUDENTS ABOUT THEIR MENTAL HEALTH

/ 11 October 2020

THE COLEGIO de San Juan de Letran and Philippine Normal University advised their students to take care of their mental health amid the Covid19 pandemic.

The advisory was made to coincide with the annual celebration of  World Mental Health Day every October 10.

The World Federation for Mental Health set the theme for this year’s mental health day as ‘Mental Health for All’.

The celebration aims to raise awareness to people about mental health issues and to mobilize efforts to support those struggling with their mental health.

“Today is World Mental Health Day! Don’t forget to take care of yourselves, Letranites. In time, we will all see each other again in a safer time,” Letran said on Facebook.

PNU also echoed the same sentiments with Letran and likewise advised its students to make their mental health a priority.

“Together we can get the nation talking about mental health!” PNU said on Facebook.

The World Health Organization-Western Pacific region said one person dies every 40 seconds from suicide due to various mental health disorders.
