IACADEMY SECURES SEMIFINAL BERTHS IN 3RD SIKAP ANIMATION PITCH LAB TILT

MAKATI-BASED iACADEMY proudly celebrates the exceptional achievement of eight of its VISION Creative Unit members, who have secured coveted spots in the semifinals of the esteemed 3rd SIKAP Animation Pitch Lab.

This recognition stands as a testament to the exceptional talent and innovative prowess fostered within iACADEMY’s creative community.

The following talented individuals have made their mark in this highly competitive arena:
Racquel Catolico for “Runo”
Jazmine Pateña for “Yellow: Not A Love Story”
Abigail Ferrer for “Roadrunner”
Angelo Lubao for “Pintura”
Kayra Teodoro for “Lights Out”
Renzel Lanuza for “Chris and the Immortal Blood Bag”

Their creative visions and exceptional storytelling abilities have propelled them into the semifinals, showcasing their dedication to pushing the boundaries of animation and storytelling.

The 3rd SIKAP Animation Pitch Lab, known for its stringent selection process and focus on nurturing emerging talent, has recognized these eight individuals for their innovative concepts and promising pitches. Their entries stood out among numerous submissions, reflecting their unique perspectives and creative ingenuity.

“iACADEMY continues to produce exceptional students who consistently demonstrate their innovative ideas and dedication to their craft. We are immensely proud of our Game Changers – Racquel, Jazmine, Abigail, Angelo, Kayra, Renzel, Lee, and Alma for their outstanding achievement in reaching the semi-finals of the 3rd SIKAP Animation Pitch Lab,” said Mr Keith Sicat, Creative Director of VISION Creative Unit and Professor at iACADEMY.

“Part of their mentorship is honing their original ideas to a level where opportunities open up for them. Their strong showing at the SIKAP Animation Pitch Lab is proof of the value they receive from the VISION program and adds to their growing number that have seen their ideas reach newer heights,” Sicat added.
