THE SAMAHANG Pisika ng Visayas at Mindanao organized a free online conference on physics research and education for students, teachers, and researchers in the academe and industry.

Dubbed as ‘2020  SPVM ConVIRTUALisation’, the 22nd annual conference will be co-hosted by Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology, Silliman University, and Mapua University.

“The annual SPVM gathering continues to serve as the venue for active dialogue between physics researchers/experts with physics teachers and students from all over the Philippines and some foreign physicists,” SPVM said.

The virtual conference is set Oct. 17, 24, and 31, and features a series of scientific talks in the field of Materials and Functions Science, Education and Fundamental Physics, and Biophysics and Complex System.

It will include plenary and invited talks to be given by 10 physicists from the US, France, Japan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, and the Philippines.
