FEU STUDENTS SEEK MORE TIME TO SUBMIT ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
THE STUDENT Government of the Far Eastern University in Manila has appealed to school officials and professors to extend the deadline for the submission of academic requirements.
In a Facebook post, the FEU SG cited the recent typhoons as the reason behind the need for a deadline extension.
“We appeal to the FEU administration and to the faculty members, whom we believe may have also been affected by the typhoons, to be more lenient and further extend the deadlines of assessments,” the group said.
“This will give more time to every affected stakeholder to have to recover from the damages of the calamities and work on their academic workloads,” it added.
According to the recent FEU CSO Calamity Survey Report, 1,022 students still do not have electricity, 1,350 have no internet or slow connection, 598 have no water supply, and 314 students’ homes were damaged.
Also, 178 students said their learning materials were either lost or damaged by floods.
The survey had 1,469 respondents from different FEU campuses.
