BPSU QUASHES RUMORS ON DEATH OF 2 STUDENTS
THE BATAAN Peninsula State University belied rumors that two of its students died of heatstroke.
The school said that the news was unverified. It appealed to its community to refrain from spreading false information.
“Campus directors are constantly monitoring and assessing the situation on their campuses with respect to the heat index. The health units of respective campuses are also taking precautionary measures in ensuring the safety of our employees and students,” Dr. Ruby Santos-Matibag, BPSU president, said in a statement.
Santos added that the health and safety of its constituents are their top priorities.
“For preventive measures, the modular scheme of instruction is being discussed to mitigate the effects of extreme summer heat being experienced all over the country,” it added.
