THE BICOL University lauded Sen. Pia Cayetano for helping secure a bigger budget for its College of Medicine.

The university got an additional P84,432,000.

“The Bicol University family expresses its deep appreciation and gratitude to the good Senator Pia Cayetano for securing additional budget to increase the carrying capacity for the COLLEGE OF MEDICINE amounting to P84, 432,000,” BU said.

The school said that the bigger allocation will enable the school to train more Bicolanos who will one day serve as doctors.

“Your benevolent gesture will definitely make a difference to the Bicolano scholars who would one day serve the country as competent and compassionate Filipino doctors,” it added.

President Rodrigo Duterte recently signed the “Doktor Para sa Bayan Act” which mandates the government to accept medical scholars.
