A 94-year-old retired professor of the University of the Philippines Visayas was inoculated against Covid19 on Tuesday.

UPV shared that Prof. Corazon G. Defensor never hesitated to get inoculated.

“Since she is bedridden, Dr. Ray Alindong, a member of the UPAA Iloilo Chapter, inoculated her in her vehicle,” the university said.

“She was given all the comfort she needed and was assisted by UPFight Iloilo’s Gemma Agudo. She was brought to the vaccination site by her daughter, Mary Ann, also an alumna of UPV,” it added.

The university said Defensor’s inoculation is a reminder to senior citizens that it is “never too late to be vaccinated and do their share in the world’s quest for normalcy.”

Members of the UPV alumni associations iAmUPHi and UPAA Iloilo Chapter assisted the Iloilo city government in its vaccination program through the “Bakuna Iloilo.”
