DORSU ASSURES SUPPORT FOR STUDENT INTERNS AFTER BUKIDNON VEHICULAR ACCIDENT
THE DAVAO Oriental State University (DOrSU) has assured the public that it is extending full assistance to its student interns who were involved in a vehicular accident on the evening of July 15, 2026, in Maramag, Bukidnon.
In a statement, the university said it immediately activated its emergency response protocols upon learning of the incident and has been coordinating with local authorities, faculty advisers, and the parents and guardians of the affected students.
DOrSU President Dr. Roy G. Ponce, together with university officials, is overseeing the institution’s response to ensure that the students receive the necessary medical attention and other forms of assistance.
The university said it continues to monitor the condition of each injured student in coordination with the hospitals and medical facilities providing treatment.
Various university offices have also been mobilized to extend support, including medical assistance, counseling services, transportation, communication with families, and other immediate needs of the affected students.
As authorities continue their investigation into the incident, DOrSU appealed to the public to refrain from sharing unverified information and allow the proper agencies to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
The university also requested respect for the privacy of the students and their families during this difficult time.
