ST. SCHOLASTICA’S College Manila (SSCM) has reinforced its campus security and emergency preparedness measures in response to recent incidents involving educational institutions, emphasizing that the safety and well-being of its community remain its highest priority.

In a statement, the college reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and supportive environment for students, employees, parents, visitors, and other members of the academic community.

“The safety of every member of our community remains our highest priority. We are committed to fostering a secure, peaceful, and nurturing environment where learning can flourish and every member of our community feels safe and supported,” the school said.

As part of its enhanced security measures, SSCM has installed a new walk-through metal detector at its main entrance, implemented routine bag inspections, and expanded its CCTV surveillance system with the installation of additional cameras across the campus.

The college also said it has established comprehensive emergency response protocols supported by trained personnel who are prepared to respond swiftly and effectively during emergencies.

SSCM likewise highlighted its partnership with the SSC Parents Association Emergency Volunteers, whose members help strengthen the school’s emergency preparedness and response capabilities.

In addition, the college maintains close coordination with the Malate Police Station and Barangay 728 to ensure immediate assistance and support whenever necessary.

The school stressed that campus safety is a shared responsibility and vowed to continue working closely with students, parents, employees, alumni, partner institutions, law enforcement agencies, and the broader community to provide a safe and secure learning environment.
