PLM, UDM APPLAUDED FOR QUALITY ACHIEVEMENTS, PRODUCING 77 NEW TEACHERS, 45 NEW LAWYERS, 20 CPAS
THE PAMANTASAN ng Lungsod ng Maynila and Universidad de Manila recently produced a combined total of 25 new Certified Public Accountants.
PLM also celebrated the graduation of 77 new licensed professional teachers, according to the latest results from the Professional Regulation Commission.
Mayor Honey Lacuna praised the leadership of both universities.
“PLM has one topnotcher on the CPA boards, Abdul Wahab Busara Ibrahim, who ranked 9th. He leads the 20 new CPAs from PLM,” said Lacuna.
The mayor also highlighted that PLM produced 45 new lawyers, based on the Bar exam results released by the Supreme Court just last Friday.
She also announced UDM has produced five new CPAs.
Another indicator of academic excellence is UDM’s recent Academic Excellence Award from the Association of Local Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation.
“UDM earned the Academic Excellence Award for the second consecutive year last week due to its 100% passing rate in the licensure examinations for nurses in May and social workers in September,” Mayor Lacuna said.
She also emphasized that the Bar exam and licensure exam results reflect PLM’s “high and respectable quality of education, faculty, and students.”
The mayor noted that PLM ranked fourth out of 17 law schools with 51 to 100 Bar candidates. The school achieved an 84.91% passing rate in this year’s Bar exams.
She also mentioned that PLM had a remarkable 89.71% passing rate in the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) for secondary education, with 61 successful candidates.
