THE DEPARTMENT of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute is now accepting applications for the 2024 Junior Level Science Scholarships Program.

The JLSS program aims to support the education of third-year college students enrolled in priority science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) courses from identified academic institutions.

It has three component programs – RA 7687 program, which is meant for socioeconomically challenged students; the Merit program, aimed at students with high aptitude in STEM; and RA 10612, a program to accelerate the production of science and mathematics teachers in secondary schools.

Scholars will get monthly stipends, tuition subsidies for students attending private universities, transportation allowance, thesis allowance, and group health insurance.

The deadline for the application is on May 31, 2024.

Qualifying examination, on the other hand, will be held on July 28, 2024, at various test centers.
