WVSU PRESIDENT DEFENDS FIRST LADY’S INCLUSION IN FACULTY ROSTER
WEST Visayas State University President Joselito Villaruz defended the school’s decision to include First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos in the school’s College of Law faculty.
Villaruiz said that they accepted Marcos because of her credentials.
“We face applications based on credentials and qualifications. We do not deny applications based on political affiliations,” he said.
Marcos will teach Criminal Law 1 at the university.
The first lady has been teaching in several law schools across the country, including Far Eastern University, Mariano Marcos State University, Northwestern University and Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, among others.
She earned her law degree at the Ateneo de Manila University.
