THE UNIVERSITY of the Philippines Los Baños conferred academic degrees on 1,549 graduates during its 50th General Commencement Exercises on Sunday.

There were 1,233 who finial undergraduate degrees, 245 master’s degrees and 71 doctorate degrees.

UPLB Class of 2022 was led by 9 summa cum laude, an academic distinction for graduates who earned a weighted average grade of 1.20 or better.

There were 176 magna cum laude and 345 cum laude.

Angelamae Morales, class valedictorian and summa cum laude, addressed the Class of 2022 as its top graduate.

UP President Danilo Concepcion served as this year’s commencement speaker.

The university conducted face-to-face graduation rites more than two years after the Covid19 pandemic started.
