TALAVERA SK HELPS COLLEGE LEARNERS’ ONLINE LEARNING GADGETS
THE SANGGUNIANG Kabataan of Barangay Sampaloc in Talavera, Nueva Ecija did its share to make online learning more accessible to students of the province.
The group provided laptop tables, flash drives, earphones, and ring lights as part of the basic necessities for online classes of 42 college students this school year.
The gadgets were distributed last Monday.
Apart from that, the SK made it easier for students to access WiFi connections after installing them around the gymnasium and barangay hall.
Meanwhile, two other SK groups in Manila also provided some of the students’ needs for distance learning.
Marinelle Complete, SK chairman of Brgy. 669, Zone 72, District V in Manila, said her group will distribute packages of gadgets for use by 400 students from elementary to college next week before classes for public schools open on October 5.
The school supplies are a laptop table, flash drive, headset, anti-radiation computer glasses, notebooks, ballpens and pencils, and face mask.
Likewise, 300 students of Brgy. 409 in Sampaloc, Manila from Grades 1 to 12 will receive laptop tables to help them in their classes, according to SK Kagawad Grant Guevarra.
Seminars had also been conducted for the students, according to the group.
Guevarra added the group already provided masks and multivitamins for the students since health is of utmost importance in this time of the Covid19 pandemic.
