DEAN Mel Sta. Maria of the Far Eastern University Institute of Law volunteered for the non-government organization Vice President Leni Robredo is planning to launch.

Sta. Maria said he’s more than willing to be part of the NGO’s legal department who will be in-charge of holding seminars and educating members about their rights.

“I am already volunteering my services for free. Since senior na at may mga nararamdaman na, sa level lamang ng competence ko at my age,” Sta. Maria wrote on Facebook.

“Pero volunteer pa rin,” he added.

His offer came about after Robredo announced she will establish the ‘Angat Buhay’ NGO once she steps out of office this July.

She made the move during her Thanksgiving party at the Ateneo de Manila University on Friday.

The NGO is meant to continue the Office of the Vice President’s programs even after Robredo’s term in a wider scale as it aims to becoming the biggest volunteering arm in the country.
