SILLIMAN U TO START F2F CLASSES ON MAY 2
THE SILLIMAN University said on Friday that face-to-face classes in selected programs will start on May 2, 2022.
The school advised its students to contact their teachers or the office secretary of their respective unit to know what subjects are included in the list for the onsite sessions.
Last year, the Commission on Higher Education permitted SU to conduct limited in-person classes for medical, nursing, physical therapy, and medical technology students.
Since then, almost 200 medical technology student interns have been assigned to hospitals in the cities of Dumaguete, Cebu and Tagbilaran for the next six months.
Medical learners have also continued their in-person internships for the second semester, while nursing students have been exposed to hospital clinical settings since October 2021.
CHED Chairman Prospero De Vera III earlier said over 300 higher education institutions are currently holding physical classes with more than 1,000 degree programs.
De Vera said his office is expecting more students will attend physical classes after the Inter-Agency Task Force Against Covid19 allowed full classroom capacity.
