/ 19 March 2022

ELEVEN engineering students of the Mariano Marcos State University have been chosen to join the school’s online exchange program with the Ashikaga University in Japan.

Daniel Tapaoan Jr., MMSU information officer, said that the Sakura Science Exchange Program is an online training session on renewable energy funded by the Japan Science and Technology Agency with AU as its delivery institution.

He said that AU is one of MMSU’s Japanese partner universities.

In 2018, the two universities collaborated on a training workshop on renewable energy technologies as part of their academic, research, and business operations.

The program, which began on February 28, connects MMSU students to cutting-edge technology in Japan.

Shirley Agrupis, MMSU president, expects the participants to obtain additional knowledge that will enable them to become key players in their profession in the future.
