THE POLYTECHNIC University of the Philippines Office of the Student Regent is waiting for an update from the administration regarding its concern on the extended academic requirements during the break.

The group received complaints that their professors want them to submit requirements even during a break.

It added that the “academic ease” that the administration implemented is not being observed properly.

The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs issued a memorandum easing academic requirements “during these trying times.”

This includes non-giving of assignments or oral reports, conduct of graded recitations, and not giving of failing grades.

“The OSR [has] yet to receive a response to this request and will be posting updates once there are any developments,” the office said in a statement.
