PATEROS TO START REGISTRATION OF MINORS WILLING TO BE VACCINATED
THE MUNICIPAL government of Pateros will soon start the registration of minors aged 12 to 17 who are willing to be vaccinated, according to Mayor Miguel “Ike” Ponce III.
The move comes after the Food and Drug Administration of the Philippines approved the emergency use of Moderna vaccine for minors last week.
“Maybe in the next few days, we will start the vaccination of 12 to 17 years old. We will do this once the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine becomes available, which we can give to them,” Ponce said.
“Parents need to sign a consent allowing their children to get vaccinated to ensure that they know that their children will get the jab and that they approve of it,” he added.
The mayor said that the new QR codes for registration will be used exclusively for 12-17-years old who are residents of Pateros.
“Once registered, they need to wait for the text message where the schedule of their vaccination indicates,” he said.
Parents will be required to accompany their children to the vaccination centers.
