THE CITY of Malabon University said that it is monitoring its official Facebook page to protect members of its community from malicious comments online.

CMU said that the administrators of its Facebook page are continuously monitoring its feed and will take appropriate measures to promote a healthy social media environment.

“The admins of this page reserve the right to ignore and delete comments, and block or permanently ban followers who promote violence, use hurtful, malicious, and inappropriate language, and post demeaning or abusive comments directed to anyone or to the institution,” CMU said on Sunday.

It added that it will give priority to answering queries from bonafide students.

“Implementing this rule is our way of upholding a healthy and positive environment among CMU students, staff, and alumni on our campus and even online,” it said.

Meanwhile, the university also urged its students who are encountering problems with their CMU accounts to reach out to [email protected] for assistance.
