UNICEF DONATES 200 MODEMS TO BANGSAMORO EDUCATION MINISTRY
THE BANGSAMORO Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education received 200 internet modems from the United Nations Children’s Fund Philippines.
The units came with load cards with one-month worth of internet connection. These will be distributed to all nine divisions of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
The modems will be used for the implementation of Infection, Prevention Control for Covid19, and for the WASH in Schools program.
The modems will be handed out to health workers to aid them in providing virtual orientation to teachers about health and safety amid the pandemic.
“We are very delighted and thankful for the UNICEF in this assistance given to the MBHTE-HNU. These items will enhance and capacitate the capabilities and reach of our men and women on the ground providing significant information in this pandemic” MBHTE Deputy Minister Haron Meling said.
“The education ministry is eager to provide learning continuity across BARMM while ensuring the safety of our learners, educators and personnel through providing them with sufficient and adequate knowledge and equipment as much as the Ministry can,” he added.
