When the national government eased the quarantine restrictions and allowed “staycations” in areas under the general community quarantine (GCQ), a lot of Filipinos were eager to get out and book themselves a room in various hotels around the Metro–they were forced to imprison themselves for months after all. 

For Hilton Clark Sunvalley Hotel representative Francis David, hotels may have a positive impact for people trying to rebuild their mental wellness.

David assured that their hotel follows the safety protocols implemented by the COVID-19 Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF). 

“People are now talking about mental health, in Clark field.. we are already in a modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) area, we have safety protocols, what does that mean? should you wish to stay in our hotel there is no need for PCR test,” David said. 

“We believe that there is a need out there and we are there to bridge the gap and address these needs,” he added.

Hilton Clark Sun Valley Resort boasts a 268-key new build hotel that will be part of a mixed-use development that also includes a casino, a 304 hectare private country club consisting of 36 holes with various levels of difficulty harmonized with beautiful natural scenery, a water park, an international school, high-end residential villas and spa, kids club, cooking school, as well as sports facilities including horse-riding. 

The hotel will also have an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a lobby lounge and a poolside café. It will also have 3,380sqm of meetings space that will include a ballroom and various meeting rooms.

“The concept of our hotel is very fitting right now, we have a very good ambiance..there’s a lot of greeneries too! So for all the plantitos and plantitas out there..this is the place to be,” David said. 

For physical and mental wellness, David said that the hotel has recreational facilities such as gym and pool.

“We have a fitness center in our hotel–we are controlling the number of people in our fitness centers, we close the areas during different times of the day to clean the area,” David assured.“We also have a very beautiful 600 square meter swimming pool and it is one of our best spots!” he added.

Cleanliness would not be an issue according to David as the hotel features its Hilton Cleanstay program where guests will find disinfecting stations with wipes and hand sanitizer available throughout the hotel. Both public and team member areas are also cleaned at scheduled intervals, including hourly maintenance of high-touch areas like elevators and bathrooms.

“We know that we have to build that confidence, and for the market to build that confidence we have Hilton Cleanstay program–with our door room seal- you know that no other person has accessed it after it was cleaned; we have also increased the sanitation 10 high touch points, knobs, telephone handle,” he said.
