PODCAST YOU SHOULD LISTEN TO!

/ 13 February 2022

The start of 2022 was not at all what we expected. But despite the circumstances we have found ourselves in, there are certainly many things we can still look forward to. I for one have already ticked one goal from my bucket list as early as January as I’ve fulfilled my dream of doing a podcast! Together with the voices behind the articles of The FEED, The POST released its very own podcast entitled FEEDBACK: The Podcast Series.

As an avid listener of podcasts, I was over the moon when the idea was pitched in on one of our monthly meetings. So just to share with you our dear katambays some of the podcasts that I have grown to love and listened to for so long, I listed some of the podcasts that helped and inspired me to do a podcast.

Small Talk! with Alec Cuenca

First on the list is “Small Talk! With Alec Cuenca.” For those of you who don’t really listen to podcasts, you might know Alec Cuenca for his motivational videos on TikTok. And if you feel somewhat inspired or motivated from those clips then you should definitely listen to this podcast.

Each episode is filled with motivating conversations that just might help you get the right mindset in life. From knowing how to achieve your goals this 2022 to knowing how to stay motivated, Small Talk is a podcast filled with thought-provoking episodes that you never know you needed.

Growing up with Ben and Kris

Another podcast I frequently listen to is “Growing up with Ben and Kris.” Hosted by popular Filipino vlogger Benedict Cua and his manager Kristian Somera, this podcast offers insights on how they dealt with challenges in their early 20s.

Being in your 20s in this digital age is no walk in the park especially when you constantly compare yourself to this perfectly curated life we see all over social media — top with the feeling of being lost and not knowing whether you’re on the right track. Growing up with Ben and Kris offers easy and relatable guides that can help you as you enter adulthood.

Pretty Basic

“Pretty Basic” is probably one of the first-ever podcasts I’ve listened to — and have continued to listen to. Hosted by OG YouTube lifestyle girls Alisha Marie and Remy Ashton, Pretty basic offers episodes filled with fun lighthearted conversations about dating to sharing their tips on how to feel more confident, and many more

One of the many things I love about this podcast is that their conversations revolve around so much more than their life as an influencer. They’ve tackled issues like mental health, weight loss, and loving yourself for who you are. And living in a country where these topics are such taboos, especially back in 2018, this podcast helped me open my mind and see the world from a broader perspective.

These three are just some of the many podcasts I listen to and a new one just entered my list with the release of FEEDBACK: The Podcast Series! I cannot wait and share with you are dear katambays the stories we write here in The FEED — or just anything under the sun really.
