1ST PHILIPPINE FILM INDUSTRY MONTH HAPPENING THIS SEPTEMBER

The Film Development Council of the Philippines announced the first year of the celebration of Philippine Film Industry Month with the theme “Ngayon Ang Bagong Sinemula”. Many exciting events are lined up for aspiring filmmakers in the country.

According to Presidential Proclamation No. 1085, September 2021 is the first-ever PHILIPPINE FILM INDUSTRY MONTH. In lieu of this, there will be an annual International Film Industry Conference (IFIC) that will take place virtually this coming September 16-19, 2021. The IFIC, now in its fifth year, continues to bring together international and local experts to share and discuss the latest trends, opportunities, platforms, and collaborations that producers and filmmakers can explore for the development, production, and distribution of their projects with the goal of crossing international borders.

As reported by the Film Development Council of the Philippines, this year’s IFIC online features an access to IFIC Keynote Address and Eleven (11) Public Sessions via Zoom for FREE.

All Public Sessions will be streamed on FDCP Facebook and YouTube pages.
