YUKA SASO SETS NEW CAREER-HIGH IN WOMEN’S GOLF WORLD RANKING
Yuka Saso reached a new career-high in the Women’s Golf world ranking by placing 6th in the spot as per the released list last Monday.
The Filipina ace rose three spots higher from her previous edition who now has a record of 203.20 points with 5.64 average points from 36 events, only .03 points away from the former world number one Lydia Ko of New Zealand.
While Olympic gold medalist US’ Nelly Korda is still on the top with 10.33 average points, followed by Korea’s Jin young Ko barring 8.42 points, In Bee Park with 7.35 points and Sei Young Kim, and Lydia Ko with 7.07 and 5.67 points, respectively.
Saso also recently landed 39th in the AIG Women’s Open after winning the US Women’s Open last two months ago and was the first Filipino player to win the said tournament.
On the other hand, Saso’s fellow Filipina golfer Bianca Pagdanganan preserves her spot from the previous rankings at World No. 176.
The 20-year old Saso is set to see action next month in the LPGA Tour in which she will be playing for eight tournaments.
