URATEX DREAM ENDS ABL 3X3 INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONS CUP STINT
Uratex Dream bowed out of contention in the Asean Basketball League 3x3 International Champions Cup women’s division after failing to advance in the semifinals round in Bali, Indonesia.
Uratex Dream outlasted Team Lions in an 18-15 victory to open their campaign in the Pool A matches on Saturday.
However, the two-time WNBL Pilipinas 3×3 champions suffered back-to-back defeats in its last pair of matches from VN Red & Gold from Vietnam, 18-16, and to the Louvre Indonesia, 22-14.
With a 1-2 record, they finished third in the group and were unable to advance to the semifinals, as only the top two teams in the group advanced.
The quartet of Kaye Pingol, Tina Deacon, Sam Harada, and Eunique Chan bannered the Philippine-based club.
The two teams that advanced to the knockout rounds are VN Red & Gold and Delhi 3BL.
