THIRDY RAVENA ADMITS HIS CAREER WON’T BE COMPLETE WITHOUT PBA ON IT

“Kasi, I don’t think my career would be fulfilling if I don’t play in the PBA,” Thirdy Ravena said in an interview on “The Chasedown” as he goes through his basketball career.

Ravena is now in Japan, gunning the San-En phoenix the second time around and recently signed a multi-year contract.

Still, the 24-year old cager looked back on where he first planned his professional career—2019 PBA Draft. But his path took a turn as he gunned San-en through the B.LEAGUE’s Asian Player Quota system

Yet shared that playing in the PBA is still a thing saying that “never naman pong mawawala ’yung PBA para sa’kin.

On the other hand, he expressed his gratitude to his current club for accepting him in the team despite his two injuries from the last season.

“It’s really the appreciation and the love that I feel from the club kahit na marami akong pinagdaanan even though it was easy for them to be like, ‘Ay nako, injury-prone ’yan, ’wag na natin kunin’,” Ravena propounded.

Na-appreciate ko iyon as a player especially as a pro kasi there are things out of your control. Pero itong team na ’to talagang tinanggap ako, and they even gave me a chance—and a lot of chances, as a matter of fact, kasi multi-year [deal] siya. So I’m very happy for that,” he continued.

And even though PBA will be one of his stepping stones to complete his career, Ravena’s focus, for now, is the present.

Ngayon I’m just focused on the next couple of years with NeoPhoenix and of course the World Cup as well, the 2023 World Cup in our country. If there are things na pinaghahandaan ko in the future it’s really those two things.”
