ROSSER, GRAY, AMBOHOT, ARANA LEAD AS TOP PICKS OF PBA SEASON 47 DRAFT

Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser, Jeremiah Gray, Jeo Ambohot, and Justin Arana landed the top four picks in the PBA Season 47 Rookie Draft on Sunday at Robinsons Place Manila in Ermita.

/ 16 May 2022

Rosser, who was a member of the Gilas Pilipinas squad that won bronze in the men’s 3×3 competitions of the Vietnam Southeast Asian Games, is regarded as the most prominent name in this year’s draft class and landed to Blackwater as the No. 1 pick.

Other notable draftees are former Alab Pilipinas and TNT 3×3 cager Gray who was the No. 2 pick of Terrafirma, while Converge and FiberExers choose Ambohot and Arana as No. 3 and 4 picks, respectively.

A total of 75 athletes filed for the draft, but only 66 would be allowed to realize their basketball dreams as some of them failed to submit the necessary requirements.

Still, the PBA draft was ruled by big men as Rain or Shine chose Gian Mamuyac with the No. 5 overall pick, and JM Calma going to NorthPort at No. 6.

NLEX took Fil-am high-flyer Tyrus Hill at seventh overall while Ginebra chose former UP Fighting Maroons and Japan B.League import Javi Gomez de Liano for the No. 8 overall pick.
