ROBBIE HERNDON SHIPPED TO SMB IN SIGN-AND-TRADE WITH CONVERGE

Hours after signing a one-year deal with the FiberXers on Monday, Robbie Herndon found himself being sent to San Miguel Beer for a pair of second-round picks.

The trade has been approved by the Commissioner’s Office which gave FiberXers the rights to SMB’s second-round picks in the 2023 and 2024 rookie drafts.

The deal was reportedly pre-arranged by Converge, San Miguel, and Herndon’s camp as the swingman signed the fresh one-year deal with FiberXers Team Governor Chito Salud at the PBA office.

The Fil-Am gunner tallied 8.2 points and 3.4 rebounds per game for the Alaska Aces in their final conference in the PBA.

Herndon is expected to amplify Beermen firepower in the backcourt especially with Terrence Romeo still questionable for the conference due to a back injury.

Including the injured Romeo, San Miguel Beer now holds a complete 15-man lineup with Herndon coming on board along with Jeepy Faundo and Michael Canete.

Meanwhile, Converge formally signed Maverick Ahanmisi to the group later in the day.

That now leaves big man Abu Tratter as the lone former Alaska player who has yet to sign a deal since the Fiberxers bought the Aces franchise in March.
