Rebisco’s last game on its Thai stint became a memorable one as they finished their journey with a victory in a 10-team field, placing 9th place.

The squad was able to get a hold advantage of the set of 2-1, but Sri Lanka players redeemed themselves and were able to catch up in the 4th set.

CEB was able to patch things up easily as Sanka Kalu Badana Ge sparked their game with 18 points on record followed by Pidura Perera’s 15 attacks and two blocks for 17 markers, as well as Kasun Mahanthi Acharige and Ayesh Perera 12 and 11 points, respectively.

The deciding game favored the PH team as Jao Umandal hung on to victory, finishing the last set in the 13-10 lead.

Umandal became Rebisco’s go-to player in the tournament with a 28-point performance on the strength of 20 kills, five blocks, and three aces.

Team captain John Vic De Guzman and reserve Nico Almendras registered 11 points respectively while Francis Saura and Kim Malabunga chipped in with nine points apiece.

Such a feat gave the Philippines a victory after losing four games in a row.
