“We are officially the PLDT Home High Speed Hitters!” the team said in a statement.

The team was first referred to as myDSL Speed Boosters in 2013 and changed it to Home TVolution Power Attackers and PLDT Home Telpad Turbo Boosters the next year, followed by Home Ultera Ultra Fast Hitters before being called as Home Fibr Power Hitters in 2019 to 2021.

The MVP Group-owned team also teased for more revelations in the next coming days in which a new coach is said to be announced on Friday after coach Roger Gorayeb’s departure.

PLDT will start a new journey with a new moniker but this time without the guidance of its first-ever coach since 2013, but the multi-talented coach expressed his gratitude for those years.

“Started coaching PLDT in 2013 in the MVP Olympics and it was a memorable ride since then,” said Gorayeb.

“Kahit nung nagkasakit at parang mamamatay na ako nung 2019, hindi nila ako pinabayaan. Talagang nagpapasalamat ako sa kanila.“
