PH WHEELCHAIR RACING BET LANDS SIXTH IN PARALYMPIC 1500M-T52 FINAL, SETS NEW PERSONAL RECORD
Filipino wheelchair racer Jerrold Mangliwan finished at sixth place in the men's 1,500-meter T52 final competition in the Tokyo Paralympics on Sunday.

Mangliwan clocked 3 minutes and 58.24 seconds to come in sixth out of the seven competitors.
Despite falling short of a podium finish, the 41-year old veteran shattered his previous personal best at 4 minutes and 09.95 seconds.
Japan’s Tomoki Sato bagged the gold medal, setting a new Paralympic record with a time of 3:29.13.
Raymond Martin of the United States finished second in 3:29.72, followed by Hirokazu Ueyonabaru of Japan in 3:44.17.
Mangliwan will be competing in the men’s 100-meter event on September 3 before concluding his Paralympics campaign.
