THE PHILIPPINE national squash team delivered a stellar performance at the 8th SEA Cup Squash Championships 2024, held in Malate, Manila, from June 3 to 9, securing an impressive total of 13 medals.

The Philippines A team led the charge, emerging as the tournament’s top performer with a haul of four gold, two silver, and two bronze medals. The B team also made a significant impact, earning one silver and four bronze medals.

The A team’s gold medals were all won in the doubles categories:

Mixed Jumbo Doubles: David William Pelino and Jemyca Aribado.
Women’s Jumbo Doubles: Jemyca Aribado and Yvonne Alyssa Dalida.
Men’s Jumbo Doubles: David William Pelino and Reymark Begornia.
Under-23 Jumbo Doubles: Christopher Buraga and Jonathan Reyes.

Van-Aero Dalida garnered two silver medals—one in the mixed doubles with Yvonne Alyssa Dalida and another in the U23 jumbo doubles with Meljohn Arebado. Additionally, the team secured a silver medal in the mixed-team event.

The Philippine squash team’s achievements underscore their dominance and skill on the regional squash circuit.
