“The exhibition match between the Philippine team and Germany scheduled on Monday, June 27, at FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan City won’t push through,” the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) announced.

Accordingly, the post added that the Germans opted to rest after a “grueling Week 2 hostilities of the VNL.”

The Germans will play three straight matches, taking on China on Thursday, the Netherlands on Friday, and France on Sunday to finish their campaign.

Further, the Philippines will not be having any friendly games on June 27 as Japan also pulled back due to health and safety protocols.

The national team is composed of Bryan Bagunas and Marck Espejo, with Rex Intal, John Vic de Guzman, Joshua Retamar, Manuel Sumanguid, Kim Malabunga, JP Bugaoan, Francis Saura, Jack Kalingking, Jessie Lopez, Angelo Almendras, and Ysay Marasigan.

On the other side, the women’s national team played two exhibition games against Thailand and Japan last June 11 and 12, respectively.
