PBA commissioner Willie Marcial said that they have sought the clearance of the Department of Health (DOH) to move its games to Lipa City in anticipation of Metro Manila’s return to Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).

“We wrote an official letter to the Health Department this morning. So we’re now just waiting for a response,” he said.

Meanwhile, he said that if the league would encounter hitches with their request, games will be put on hold.

“We’ll have to take a break if it comes to that,” Marcial said.

As a precaution against the far more contagious Delta variant of Covid19, the National Capital Region will be placed under ECQ from August 6 to 20.
