PBA RECEIVES GREEN LIGHT TO PRACTICE; GINEBRA GOVERNOR CHUA TARGETS JUNE 15 OPENING

The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) has received a go signal from the IATF to stage practices in Batangas City, making the Ginebra governor Alfranci Chua reveal its plan date on opening—June 15.

Siyempre gusto namin makapaglaro. We have to prove to them na nag-eensayo kami, walang nahawa, wala lahat, para mapayagan na tayo,” Chua said.

Thus Chua averred that the initial date for opening is still on the plan of action saying that “we are thinking of June 15.”

While PBA commissioner Willie Marcial shared his scheme to have a meeting with representatives of all 12 member teams to discuss the health protocols and logistical concerns.

The scrimmages are also on a plan of action set to happen on May 18 in an area under modified general community quarantine.

“It is important for the scrimmages to be free of hitches, so we can show the authorities we can go on with the official games,” Marcial propounded.

He also noted that teams will not undergo daily training and will have three to four teams a day.

“I’m good with the three we’ve mentioned. And it’s not like teams will be practicing there daily. They’ll like train there every other day of just thrice a week,” he shared.
