Known as “The Skywalker” for his high-flying prowess, Lim succumbed to his final moments at the Medical City, where he received his last rites. His family expressed gratitude for the tender care provided by loved ones and friends during this difficult time.
Lim, a nine-time PBA champion with the San Miguel Beermen, leaves behind a legacy marked by his thrilling playing style and acrobatic moves. Despite enduring injuries that prevented him from claiming a Most Valuable Player Award, he remains one of the league’s 25 greatest players.
Norman Black, a former teammate, shared his condolences, emphasizing Lim’s significant role in the Beermen’s success during the 1980s and 90s, including their 1989 Grand Slam victory.
