MPL Season 9 for this year was initially staged to happen on March 18 but the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) gave the go signal to do it on an earlier date.

“The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League – Philippines (MPL-PH) Season 9 gets the green light from Games and Amusements Board (GAB) to go offline from the 3rd week of the regular season up to the playoffs. GAB initially confirmed the approval to have the games on-site from Week 5 onward,” said the MPL-PH in a statement.

The league also affirmed that “strict health and safety protocols will be implemented such as having swab tests and limiting the number of personnel entering in the venue.”

To ensure that everyone will follow the set protocols, a roving safety officer will also be assigned who will patrol the venue.

“Safety and sanitation kits will be shared with all attendees and potential cases will be isolated,” the league said.

Fans, on the other hand, are still not permitted on-site and are unable to watch the game live.
