PLDT High Speed Hitters continued to reinforce its roster for the new season of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) as the team adds Mika Reyes to its lineup.

The 27-year old volleyball star made her decision after being released by her previous club, Sta. Lucia, which had previously announced that it would be taking an indefinite leave of absence from the league.

Yung isa sa nagpapa-excite sa akin ay ‘yung mga makakasama ko dito sa team, a chunk of it are people I’m close with, so that really helps a lot na may mga sobrang kilala na ako na mga makakasama ko,” said Reyes who is looking forward to teaming up with former teammates Rhea Dimaculangan, Dell Palomata, and Jovie Prado.

“Extra comfortability na din ba. New team, fresh start pero same goal pa rin naman kahit saan ako magpunta, to learn as much as I can and be able to contribute in any way I can,” she said.

Aside from Reyes, PLDT has also acquired the services of  Heather Guino-o and Jules Samonte.

Guino-o and Samonte previously played for Perlas Spikers, who chose to take a leave due to the coronavirus.

“It was unfortunate na na-disband yung Perlas but just grateful to have found a home in PLDT,” said Samonte.

The team has also called on veterans Wendy Samana, Fiola Ceballos, and Lhara Clavano.

A few days back, PLDT tapped Kath Arado, Mean Mendrez, Jessey de Leon, Palomata, and Prado to assist the squad, which has retained Dimaculangan, Chin Basas, Eli Soyud, and Nieza Viray.
