Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) – Loyola Gaming knocked out Holy Angel University Valiant Archangels, 2-0, in their bout last Sunday en route to their semis berth.

Matthew “Mateo” Brillantes has taken control of the series, chipping in 17 kills and an assist on top of his 11 deaths. 

They swept their best-of-three matches sealing their win with 13-8 in Game One and 13-6 in Game 2 to advance in a matchup against the University of San Carlos (USC).

In the other quarterfinals match, De La Salle University (DLSU) tied with the Technological University of the Philippines Gearhawks in Game Two of the quarterfinals match.

However, Viridicus Arcus proved they have greater strength to end the series 2-1 to land a spot for the semi-finals round and will be facing Far Eastern University-Institute of Technology (FIT) iTamaraws.

AcadArena’s University Alliance Cup Grand Finals will be on May 2.
