Reports and messages of condolences from prominent figures from the Dota2 community confirmed the caster’s passing.

On a series of Facebook posts, Pangan has been airing his hardships with his bout against the virus.

He narrated that he can’t sleep, eat, or drink and he was bedridden.

A conversation with TNC Predator’s support player Timothy ‘Tims’ Randrup revealed that Pangan was confined at the Ospital ng Maynila before passing away.

Pangan, along with his co-caster Marlon ‘Lon’ Marcelo helped put SEA Dota on the international radar with their funny and hyped style of casting.

His most remarkable contribution to the Dota2 world was their chat wheel “Lakad Matatag, Normalin, Normalin” – the chat wheel that was one of the most spammed at Dota2 events.

The phrase was taken while the duo was casting the match between Team Secret and Fnatic at the ESL One Katowice in 2018.

“We mourn the passing of Dunoo who put SEA Dota 2 casting on the map with his explosiveness and rigor. Another life and talent taken way too soon. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones. You will be missed, Kuya D. Rest in peace,” Team SMG said on Facebook.

“It is with a heavy heart that we inform everyone about the passing of one of our beloved shoutcasters. When we talk about Filipino esports legends, Aldrin “Dunoo” Pangan’s name is always thrown into the mix.,” TNC Predator said on its Facebook page.

“A caster for local DotA since the beginning, his unending love for the scene pushed it to grow into what it is today. From his first TI hypecasting to the legendary ESL One Katowice shoutcasts, Dunoo’s legacy will forever be immortalized in the halls of esports history. Lakad matatag, Kuya D,” it added.

The company he works for, Lupon WXC, also paid tribute to Dunoo, while remembering his contribution to the growth of Esports in the country.

“Contrary sa nakikita ng karamihan, he’s been a pure professional he knows his role, always in time and knows how to elevate kung sino man kasama nya. He’s living the straight up life for years now walang bisyo, out sa sugal, out sa babae just his work, passion, and pamilya nya which is lage nyang sinasabi na pinakamahalaga sakanya. Your legacy will always remain as the best caster para saming lahat and one of the best friend na we can ever have. Lakad Matatag brother! We’ll miss you!” it said on its Facebook page.

Several personalities and pages also aired their condolences to the caster, while reminding Filipinos to get vaccinated.
